Start with assessment
Ask who assesses new patients and how the findings shape the treatment plan. Describe existing medical or mental health needs and ask whether the center can address them or coordinate additional care.
Understand the clinical team
- Which professionals would be responsible for your care?
- What qualifications do they hold, and how can you check them?
- Which treatments are offered, and what evidence supports their use?
- How often would you have individual and group appointments?
Plan beyond admission
Ask about availability, family involvement, progress reviews and continuing support after the program. Request written information before making a commitment.
